Materi Berguru Bahasa Inggris : My House

Untuk memudahkan warga berguru dan siswa pemula yang mempelajari bahasa Inggris dasar, maka berikut ini akan kita lakukan aktivitas berguru dengan mengulas secara perbagian-bagian, mulai dari Bacaan, dialog, Struktur Kalimat, Menulis dan Kosakata secara sederhana dalam bahan Bahasa Inggris "My House". Agar gampang dipahami dan membantu dalam berguru bahasa Inggris secara berdikari di rumah:

A. Bacaan

This is my house. It's a

[ diz i z  mai hauz. i t s a ]

Ini yaitu rumah saya. Sebuah

small house. It's not large

[ smal hauz its not la:de ]

rumah kecil tidak besar

It's clean. It's on Jalan Sawo

[ i t s Kl i : n, i t s on dea:lan sawo ]

Rumah itu bersih. Terletak di jalan Sawo

It's in Sukajadi village, 

[ its in sukadeadi vilade ] 

Terletak di desa Sukajadi

There is a garden near the

[ thaer iz a ga:den nia the ]

Ada sebuah kebun dekat

house. We grow vegatables.

[ hauz. wi grou vedegtablz ]

rumah itu. Kami menanam sayur-sayuran

The grow very well

[ de grou beri wel ]

Sayuran tumbuh bagus.

Sesudah mengucapkan "cara baca" coba ucapkan lagi dengan menutup telinga.

Keterangan

- "That is" dalam bacaan di atas sama artinya dengan "it'is"

- "It is" yang berarti "itu adalah", digunakan untuk mengungkapkan kalimat yang dimulai dengan "itu adalah......."

Misalnya : Itu yaitu rumaha yang bagus.

It's a good house.

- Kata sifat (good) ditempatkan di depan kata yang diterangkan (house).

Misalnya : Good house (menerangkan - diterangkan : aturan M-D).

- Bentuk Negatif.

It's .......menjadi it's not .....atu It isn't". It's good house. Its isn't a good house.

- Pemakaian "There is" and " There are"

"There is" atau "There are" berarti "Ada" atau "Di sana ada". 

"There is" digunakan untuk singular (tunggal) dan "There are" untuk jamak (plural).

Contoh : 

There is a garden near the house

There are learners in the room.

B. Dialog

Dialog :

A. That's my house 
Where is your house?

B. It's on Jl. Proklamasi


A. Is it a large house?

B. No, it isn't. It's Small


A. Is it Clean?

B. Yes, it is


A. Do you have a garden?

B. Well, I grow pineapple


A. What do you grow?

B. Yes, I do. There is a garden at the back


C. Struktur Kalimat

1.  Kalimat negatif dengan "to be":



2.  Kalimat negatif dengan bukan "to be":



3.  Pemakaian kata sifat (abjective)



4.  Pemakaian THERE


There is a garden    at the back
There are books      in the cupboard


5.  Short answer
Is it large? Yes, it is
                  No. It Isn't (It's not)

Is there a garden? Yes, there is.
                              No, there isn't
Are there books in the cupboard?  Yes, there are.
                                                       No, there aren't.



D. Menulis

1. Salin dan lengkapi kalimat-kalimat berikut :
   That's .................. house. It's a ............. house
   It's not..........It's ..........It's......Jl......... Sawo
   It's.................Sukajadi Villag........... is a garden. 
   ................... the house, They ..............vegetables.
   The vegetables grow very ................................... 

2. Tulislah sepasang kalimat-kalimat berikut menjadi satu kalimat  berikut menjadi satu kalimat dengan memakai THERE IS atau THERE ARE :
contoh: It's house. It has five rooms
            There are five rooms in the house.

   - It's a garden. It's near the house ?
   - I see a house. It's on Jl. Diponegoro
   - I see many books. They are in the cupboard
   - I have a bag. A pensil is in it?
   - I see many people. They are in the car.
